Hello, reader. My name is Loraine, and I am the founder of Flora Brae, or simply Flora.
Flora was born during the lockdown when I had to intermittently close my dog grooming business throughout the "Covid years." However, my passion for herbalism, aromatherapy, and the traditional use of plants has been a constant in my life.
Having always dealt with sensitive skin, I am acutely aware of the chemicals that enter and affect my body, as well as their environmental impact. Throughout my life, I've embraced aromatherapy, natural remedies, and holistic practices for myself, my loved ones, and my animals. My time as a groom at a horse stable introduced me to many effective old remedies, solidifying my belief in the power of natural, traditional methods. I've dedicated countless hours to learning, experimenting, and understanding, hoping to infuse my nurturing spirit into each of my products.
To formalise my knowledge, I completed two courses: a diploma in Herbalism and another in Soap Making, which marked the beginning of my journey with Flora. Faced with the complexities of becoming a registered Apothecary or a cosmetics producer, I chose the latter for the time being. Nevertheless, each product I create is inspired by the traditional uses of the ingredients I've meticulously selected, blended, and packaged with you in mind.
